Does RoadsideXpress deliver and install used or new tires?

RoadsideXpress does not deliver or install new tires.

Do you offer a free flat tire change service?

We do not offer any free tire change service.  All our roadside assistance services are paid services.

Do you come out to where I am and provide services such as mount, balance, and rotate my tires?

We do not provide services that involve mounting, balancing, and rotating of tires. If you need additional tire repair after we get you back on the road we can provide you with information on a trusted tire shop in your area.

What should I do when I experience a flat tire?

When you experience a flat tire or blow out you should park safely on the shoulder of the roadway, put on your hazard lights, and parking brakes. If you have warning triangle reflectors; place them 2-3 meters behind slightly to the left side, so that people can be warned without crashing into your triangle/car before calling for help.

Can I change my flat tire on a hill, dirt, or grass?

You cannot change your flat tire on a hill, dirt or grass because the jack could slip allowing the vehicle to fall on the ground which could cause bodily injuries.

How long does it take to change a flat tire?

According to DMV.org, a person with experience is usually able to change a flat tire within 20 minutes or less.  Adverse conditions such as darkness or weather conditions could make the process take longer.

My tire has some bald spots. What should I do?

It is unsafe to drive on tire with bald spots. If you noticed any of your tires has a bald spot, replace your tire immediately at your local tire shop.

What tools do I need to change my flat tire?

You would need gloves, knee pads, a jack, lug wrench, spare tire, and a wheel lock key for wheels with lock, and an extension bar to lower the spare tire for SUVs and minivans where the spare tire underneath the vehicle.

Does RoadsideXpress deliver air if my tire is flat and needs air?

Our team of professional service partners will deliver air to your vehicle and inflate it with the proper PSI (pounds per square Inch) if you have a flat tire, and have you back on the road.

My car does not have a jack, could you send someone out to help me change my flat tire?

Our roadside assistance technicians have all the required equipment to replace your tire in case your vehicle is missing a jack or other required tools.

I tried to jack up my car to change my flat tire and the jack slipped, my car wheel fell to the ground. Could you send someone to help me get my car off the ground and install my spare tire?

If you have any issues changing a flat tire yourself, stop where you are and call RoadsideXpress. Our service technicians are trained to help in a number situations and conditions, including slipped jacks or stripped lug nuts.

I hit a curb and my tire is flat, could you send out someone to change my flat tire and install my spare tire?

Sure, one of our partners will be at the location to help you install your spare tire.

I have two flat busted tires as a result of a curb I hit. Could you deliver two new tires to replace my flat tires?

We do not deliver new tires to customer locations. You might need to call a local towing service, and have your vehicle towed to a nearby tire shop to have your two busted tires replaced.

Do you change RVs, duallys trucks, semi trucks, and coach buses flat tires?

Due to the safety requirements and DOT standards of vehicles above a certain GVW we can not change flat tires of rvs, dually trucks, semi trucks, and coach buses.

Can I schedule an appointment to have someone come to my vehicle, change my flat tire, and install my spare tire?

We certainly can have one of our service partners dispatched to your location, remove your flat tire and install your spare tire.

I have a flat tire in a parking garage, can your service vehicle come and help me, is it not too big to fit in the parking garage?

Our service partners are equipped with light vehicles that can easily maneuver in parking garages.

I have a flat tire and I don’t have a spare or donut tire. Could you send someone out to help me?

RoadsideXpress does not sell replacement tires. If possible, we can repair your flat tire if it is safe to do so.

Can RoadsideXpress fix or repair my flat tire that has a nail or a piece of metal stuck in it?

If applicable, RoadsideXpress can plug a flat tire. However, this is not always the case if the hole is too large, or too close to the tire sidewall.

I have a flat tire that needs to be replaced with my spare tire. I am home but my car is at another location. Could you send someone to pick me up and take me to my car to change my flat tire and install my spare tire?

Unfortunately, we do not pick up customers from one location to another prior to providing service. We only provide service at the customer’s location.

How long will it take to have someone come to help me change my flat tire?

We can have one of our service partners dispatched over to your location within 15- 30 minutes.

Do you accept cash payment for your services?

 We do not accept “CASH” payments for any of our services. We only accept all major credit and debit cards.

I have a flat tire, a spare tire and no tools. Could you send someone out to help change my flat tire and install my spare tire?

We can dispatch one of our service partners to your location to remove your flat tire and install your spare tire.

Dead Battery Jump Start FAQs

Could I jump start my car if I have a jumper’s cable?

You could jump start your car if you have a jumper cable and another car with an available battery.

How long does it take to send someone out to help me jump start my car battery?

We could dispatch one of our service partners to help you jump start your car battery within 15 – 30 minutes.

My car would not start, is it my battery, starter, or alternator?

The best way to find out what exactly is wrong with your car if it doesn’t start is to have a professional mechanic diagnose it.

I try to start my car and it’s just clicking but won’t start. Could it be my battery?

If your car is clicking but won’t start, it sounds like you have a dead battery. Simply charge or boost your battery, or check your battery terminals they could be loose.

How do I know my vehicle battery is dead?

Slow engine crank, Low battery fluid level, swelling bloating battery case, battery leak, and old age are possible reasons why your car battery is dead.

My battery poles are corroded, what should I do?

Put on a disposable glove, clean the battery poles with a clean towel. Place a small amount of vinegar in a container such as a cup. Pour the vinegar over the battery pole/poles that are corroded. Wait for about five minutes then wipe the corroded area with the towel until the poles are cleaned and dried.

What causes car battery corrosion?

Corrosion on the battery terminal is due to hydrogen gas being released from the acid in the battery. It mixes with other things in the atmosphere under the hood and produces the corrosion you see on the terminals. If the corrosion occurs on the negative terminal, your system is probably undercharging.

How long should my car run after I jump start it?

Between 10 – 15 minutes after you jump start it.

How do I jump start my car with jumper cables?

Take out your jumper cables, place both vehicles in park or neutral and shut off the ignition in both cars, attach one of the red clips to the positive terminal of your battery, attach the other red clip to the positive terminal of the other car, attach one of the black clips to the negative terminal on the other battery, attach the last black clip to an unpainted metal surface on your car that isn’t near the battery, start the working vehicle and let the engine run for a few minutes, then start your vehicle.

How to jump start a car with a portable jump box?

Open the hood of your car that needs to be jumped, connect the red positive clamp of the jump box to the red positive terminal of your battery, connect the black negative clamp of the jump box to the black negative pole or an unpainted metal under the hood of the car that needs the jump. Start the car. Remove the positive clamp of the jump box than the black negative clamp of the jump box and close the hood. Allow the vehicle to run for about 10 – 15 minutes than drive away.

I am trying to jump start my car but I cannot see my battery under my hood, can I still jump start it?

Connect the cable or jump box to the positive pole under the hood and an unpainted metal (ground) if that doesn’t work, some batteries are hidden in the trunk of the vehicle.

corrosion on your battery terminals.

Can RoadsideXpress run a test to see if my alternator is charging my battery?

Yes. We can run a diagnosis to see if your alternator is charging your battery.

Can RoadsideXpress check to see if my battery is holding enough charge?

Does RoadsideXpress replace my tires with a new or used tire at my location?

No. RoadsideXpress does not sell, deliver, or replace tires. We only repair or change tires.

Can RoadsideXpress plug my tire if it has a nail or screw?

Yes. Our technicians are equipped with the right tools and equipment to remove a nail or screw
from your tire, plug it, and inflate it with the right tire PSI (tire pressure).

Does RoadsideXpress replace valve stem?

No. We do not replace valve stems.

Does RoadsideXpress service include the removal of stripped lug nuts?

Yes. Our service includes the removal of stripped lug nuts from your wheel and tire change.

Does RoadsideXpress service include wheel lock removal?

Yes. Our service includes wheel lock removal.

Fuel Delivery FAQs

Does RoadsideXpress deliver fuel/gas to my location if I run out of fuel/gas?

Yes. We will only deliver 5 gallons of gas to your location.
